Duke of York’s presents a season of late night Geek Films to coincide with the Brighton Digital Festival. The season features four films in which technology goes terribly wrong.

The first screening is Inception (2010), Christopher Nolan’s mind-bending exploration of the dream world. In a world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion, a highly skilled thief is given a final chance at redemption which involves executing his toughest job to date: Inception.

Duke of York’s presents a season of late night Geek Films to coincide with the Brighton Digital Festival. The season features four films in which technology goes terribly wrong.

The second in the season is TRON (1982), the original trapped-in-a-computer classic. A hacker is abducted into the world of a computer and forced to participate in gladiatorial games where his only chance of escape is with the help of a heroic security program.

Duke of York’s presents a season of late night Geek Films to coincide with the Brighton Digital Festival. The season features four films in which technology goes terribly wrong.

The third film in the season is Ghost in the Shell (1995), one of the all-time classic manga films. A female cyborg cop and her partner hunt a mysterious and powerful hacker called the Puppet Master.
Don’t miss this cyberpunk masterpiece on the on the big screen.

The Brighton QR Treasure Hunt

Rise to the digital challenge and crack the clues in code. Working with local artists and businesses, the Brighton QR Treasure Hunt offers an interactive experience of the city that is both factual and entertaining. Your team of 2 to 6 people will go in search of clues embedded in QR codes, hidden around the city centre, with prizes for the winning team. Whether you bring your mates, colleagues, kids or your Gran, one team member will need to come armed with a smartphone. The hunt will last approximately 2 hours which includes a briefing session to help download the necessary app. There are morning and afternoon slots available to book and the profits will be donated to charity.
